Growing Hearts is a non-profit organization that aimed at deeply integrating special needs adults into their community.
Growing Hearts Garden Center was founded in 2018, with the dream of creating a space where adults with special needs could live and work in a supportive environment. This dream is inspired by Mason Churchill, who is a young man with Fragile X Syndrome. Mason’s mother, Peggy Churchill, and his home based program director, Chris Evans, brought together their unique talents to form Growing Hearts. Their vision was to create a future for Mason, and all the special needs adults in our area, that is currently unavailable. Presently Growing Hearts is working on starting the business from the ground up, involving our employees with special needs every step of the way.
